The USB multiport adapter leverages the USB-C DisplayPort Alt Mode and USB Power Delivery technologies to support an external monitor and Power Delivery functions. It offers two USB 3.0 Type-A ports that support data transfer speeds up to 5Gbps. The USB-C digital AV multiport adapter is entirely USB bus powered and does not require a power supply to work. The HDMI 2.0 port on the USB C charging hub can support resolutions up to 3840×2160@60Hz and 1080p resolutions at 60Hz. For computers which support DisplayPort 1.4 (DP 1.4), such as the Microsoft Surface Laptop 3, the Surface Book 3, or the Surface Pro 7, this USB C multiport adapter supports 4K 60Hz. Please consult with your system manufacturer to check if your USB-C port supports DP 1.4.
